     Threshold Athletics founder and director Sean McManus has over 20 years of leadership experience supporting student-athletes and athletic departments. McManus served over 15 years as an NCAA Division I and Olympic coach, and professor of Sport Management at the University of Notre Dame, Florida State University, and Fresno State. He also spent several years teaching Statistics and Research Methods. Since 2017, McManus has served as an athletic administrator for an international sports academy.

     McManus completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame, where he was a four-year varsity letterwinner, NCAA qualifier, and designated Notre Dame Scholar. Following his time in South Bend, McManus completed his Masters of Science degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences, with an emphasis on Sport Pedagogy, at the University of Florida. His work at Florida focused on student-athlete motivation and perceptions of athletic climate.
