Athletics Climate Study

Threshold Athletics’ Athletics Climate Study is an independently conducted, statistically reliable survey of all members of the campus community- students, faculty, staff, administrators, parents, and community members- regarding their feelings and experiences related to their institution’s athletics programs.

Participants are asked over 100 questions, both closed-ended and open-ended, related to the athletics program at their institution. Areas of focus are athletics’ alignment with generally desired student learning outcomes; perception of administrators’ and coaches’ support for student-athletes; and overall satisfaction with their athletics-related experiences. In addition to our questions, institutions have the option to create and include focus questions specific to their campus.

Information from this survey can be used to increase understanding of the current athletics climate within the school. The survey data and resulting analysis are valuable tools when establishing policies and practices that best align athletics with the mission and vision of the institution, promote positive experiences for all students, and ensure the health and safety of all students
